About Seibert


Seibert is one of the biggest and most important partners in the Atlassian ecosystem. We are one of the largest Atlassian Solution Partners worldwide, and we are also a vendor of software products in the Atlassian Marketplace. As an Atlassian Marketplace Vendor, we develop and sell a wide range of apps that run as add-ons to Atlassian’s core products including draw.io, Agile Hive as well as Mantra and Aura. All products are either developed in-house by product teams employed by Seibert, or by partner companies we are cooperating with. In these cases, our partners are responsible for development and support while we are responsible for marketing and sales. 
The Marketplace Vendor AppAnvil is a joint venture between software maker AppAnvil and Seibert. AppAnvil has developed a multitude of Atlassian apps like Mantra, Aura, and Karma that are available in the Atlassian Marketplace. AppAnvil and Seibert have partnered in 2020 and Seibert is the exclusive owner of the exploitation rights in the Atlassian Marketplace. 

Job Description


Craft a Marketing Strategy. We are looking for a Head of Marketing who will be responsible for the overall marketing strategy of AppAnvil and the apps we publish under that brand name, including Mantra, Aura and Karma. That includes crafting the game plan to reach prospects and turn them into loyal and paying customers.

Know Your Marketing Tactics. As Head of Marketing, you are  familiar with different marketing tactics and know how to use them to address potential customers. You should be well versed in content marketing, online advertising, event marketing, and social selling, amongst others.

Think Outside the Box. You  think outside the box to bring attention to AppAnvil and our product range. We have always been big on guerilla marketing tactics and would love to continue to do things that stand out and attract attention. A little rebel spirit will go a long way.

Be Fond of Marketing Automation. You should know your way around marketing automation and the tools to set up automation processes. We would like to use marketing automation more in the future and refine what we already have. That includes outreach to evaluators, new customers, renewing customers, etc. 

Lead an International Team. You will be working with an international team, but most team members are currently located in Germany. You will have to be flexible with working hours to accommodate their schedule and be available for team meetings and syncs. This will be a remote job where you will travel from time to time but mostly work from home. 

Let the Marketing Core Help You. Seibert has a big marketing core team and multiple product marketing teams that are responsible for other Marketplace Vendors and apps in our group. While you have a variety of skills in your team, especially content writing and design, you can work closely with the other teams to secure additional resources. 

Get Your Hands Dirty. Strategic thinking will be a focus, but you will also get your hands dirty. We’re not a startup, but we’re a small team and that requires you to take on all jobs that are necessary. The overall success of our marketing and sales is what comes first, whether it requires a task that is in your job description or not. 

Qualifications


  • You are in the USA or Canada and permitted to work there.
  • BA/BS degree is strongly preferred.
  • You have several years of experience in marketing. The longer you have held a leadership position, the better. Some leadership experience is definitely a plus. 
  • Good communications skills over email, phone and in person are a necessity.
  • You should be a diligent person that can work autonomously. You will have a field of responsibility and we expect you to own it.
  • Ideally, you have experience in the Atlassian ecosystem. If not, similar experience from another software ecosystem is a must.
  • You are a strategic thinker who can create an overall vision for our marketing.

    We will provide you with all the equipment you need, starting with a Macbook and iPhone. As you will be working from home - no commuting, yay - we will also provide you with basic inventory you need for your home office.
