Templates are our solution to make your checklists reusable. Ideally you would reuse every checklist you make since it models a process or a procedure. Using a template with all necessary steps helps you creating a checklist on the fly when you need it without too much hassle.

But templates are also just snapshots of the current process. So there is no need to shy away from editing a given template. Every change you make in a template will not be reflected in existing checklists, so you can change the one template and improve on it.

When using both Jira and Confluence, if you create a template in one of the tools, you will be able to see the template in the other tool.
