What is a template?

Templates are a core element of our solution.

You can create a checklist template from scratch or from our database using AI.

Templates are our solution to make your checklists reusable. Ideally you would reuse every checklist you make since it models a process or a procedure. Using a template with all necessary steps helps you creating a checklist on the fly when you need it without too much hassle.

But templates are also just snapshots of the current process. So there is no need to shy away from editing a given template. Every change you make in a template will not be reflected in existing checklists, so you can change the one template and improve on it.

Read on to understand some of the benefits of checklist templates and why we love them so much.

Reusable

First and foremost, checklist templates are reusable. If you come up with a system to accomplish something a checklist template is the perfect way to make sure that system or process gets used every time.

Tailored

You can adapt checklist templates to whatever process you would like. If you have slightly different processes for onboarding engineers and human resource managers, you can have a separate template for each use case.

Standardized

Checklist templates allow you to standardize a common or shared process across all departments and teams.

Improvable

If you find that you can improve this process in any way, you can always edit the checklist template after discovering your improvement. The new edits to the template will not reflect in already finished instances of the checklist.

In sync

When using both Jira and Confluence, if you create a template in one of the tools, you will be able to see the template in the other tool. For example, if you created your original checklist template in a Confluence page, you will be able to pull that checklist template into a Jira issue without any further actions.
