Global configuration of public checklists

How to globally configure if public checklists are allowed in Didit checklists for Atlassian Confluence and Jira

Public checklists are a powerful feature in Didit that allow you to share checklists with people outside your Atlassian Cloud instance of Jira or Confluence. This includes customers, partners, suppliers, or employees who cannot log in. Additionally, users of the Didit mobile app rely on public checklists to access their tasks and lists.

Enable or disable public checklists in the Didit hub

To configure if public checklists are available for Didit checklists, you must have Jira admin permission. From the admin cog in the top right of Jira navigate to "Apps." On the left side scroll down to the "Didit - Checklists" section and choose "Settings."

How it looks if you hit a checklist that is no longer public

Benefits of public checklists

  • Easy sharing: Effortlessly share checklists with anyone, even those without an Atlassian account.
  • Flexibility: Ideal for collaboration with external partners and remote teams.

Security considerations

Once you turn off public checklists globally, all checklists which were previously publicly shared, will no longer be. If you turn public access back on globally, the checklists will revert back to their previous access settings.

  • Increased security: Turning off public checklists enhances the security of your data by restricting access to authorized users only.
  • Controlled access: Even when public checklists are enabled, not all checklists are automatically public. Each checklist can be individually configured to be public or private.
