The News Transfer offers a seamless solution for effortlessly transferring news between Linchpin instances.
Easily publish news from your Linchpin instance to a remote instance automatically, ensuring smooth and efficient news migration.
How do I use the News Transfer?
To use this feature, you need to create news transfers first.
To do so go to the administration → Enterprise News → News Transfer.
Then click on the "Create news transfer" button.
Within the "Basics & Connection" accordion you can then determine a name for this transfer and the remote system you want news transferred to. Give your news transfer a name, type in the destination URL, add you personal access token and the space key.
Use the Personal Access Token of a user from the destination system. The given user needs permission to publish and delete news in the target space. Transtered news will be pubished in this user's name.
With the space key you determine the space in the destination system you want these news to be published.
IMPORTANTTo activate or pause the news transfer you have to use the toggle!
Within the "Content"accordion you can determine in detail which news you want to be transferred. You have the option between "a
In the drop down menu "Type" you can choose between: Space, label or category.
In the drop down menu "Operator" you can choose between: "Comes from any of these" or "Comes from none of these"
In the drop down menu "Items" you search the spaces, the labels or the categories
Need to add another rule? Simply click on the "Add rule"button to add another rule. You then have the choice to connect the rules with an "AND" or "OR" operator.
Want to delete the rules? Simply click on the trash icon.
Don't forget to click on save button once you're finished!
You can create as many as you need. There is no limit.
News are automatically deleted in the target system, i.e. the instance you transferred your news to.

The personal access token can be found in the profile. Navigate to Profile → Settings → Personal Access Tokens.
If you haven't created a personal access token yet, you'll see a message and a button. Click on the blue "Create token" button to create a token for the user.
