What are social happenings?
In version 2.24 of Linchpin Hey we introduced social happenings.
Social happenings are, like the name suggests, events of social nature in your company. Such events are:
- birthdays,
- anniversaries (how long someone has been working in the company),
- recent work starts in the company.
Hint: Click on profile picture within a social happening card to open the profile of the displayed person.
Congratulate or greet your colleagues
Use the social happenings to congratulate or greet your colleagues. A social happening card features a "Congratulate" button (or a "Say Hey!" button in case of new colleagues) which appears when you hover with your mouse over a card.
Once congratulations or greetings have been sent, they will appear on the receiver's dashboard.
Social happenings overview
In version 2.29, we added an overview of all social happenings.
To open it, navigate to the Events section and then to the Social Happenings tab.
Here you will find a calendar filled with all social happenings that have occurred and will occur in your workspace.
Tip: Hover your mouse over the profile picture to find out how old the user is getting or what anniversary they are celebrating. The tooltip will also tell you the name of the user.
