Remote PI Planning Guide
Tips & Tricks for successful Remote PI Planning with Agile Hive
2020 has decisively changed the way we collaborate and communicate. It has also accelerated the establishment of mobile working. Teams no longer sit in one office, but are distributed across multiple locations, and also worldwide.
Even "after Corona", the way we collaborate will be different in the long run. In the context of SAFe®, that means "remote PI Planning" will be the new normal.
Read on for tips & tricks on how to successfully perform your PI Planning remotely.
Event planning -
5 things you should consider:
PI Planning with Agile Hive
Business Context & Product Vision
You can fill out the information needed by the participants so they're prepared before attending the PI planning. You can do this on the overview page and take care of everything from the registration, the people responsible for the information, location and floor plan, food & beverages, to the agenda and more. Every attendee is able to take a look at the dashboard at any time to stay informed on the event.
Digital Breakout- & Program Boards
Plan iteration capacities, break down features to stories, estimate story points and see how things work together in your team.
More importantly, every team can identify and visualize dependencies based the other teams' tasks. Based on that, solutions can be found via collaboration with those other teams. This can all be done in a simple overview, including the correct hierarchical linking. And all of this without jumping from ticket to ticket!
Program Risks
Agile Hive's risk management is based on ROAM (Resolved, Owned, Accepted, Mitiga- ted) in alignment with SAFe®. The report displays all identified risks associated with a given team. The classification is based on probability and impact. "Treatments" are procedures that deal with the respective risks. Along with their status, these treatments are displayed with each risk. Treatments also have a direct effect on how likely something is to happen (residual probability) and impact (residual impact).
