Welcome to Linchpin Events!

This guide was created to help you with the setup of Linchpin Events. See what can be configured and how you can do it.

Set up event categories.

Users can label events with categories. This allows users to understand the event's purpose more quickly. Furthermore, event categories can be used as filters. For example, you can personalize the event hub and other macro to specific categories.


Head over to your Linchpin Administration. Navigate to Linchpin Events and choose Categories.


Make yourself familiar with various event macros.

You can display events in various ways. Take a first look at available macros.


Event macro



You can use the Event macro to display a single event on any Confluence page.

Set up event categories to filter within the Event macro. You can also filter by date, event title or even create a brand new event.

Select the event you wish to display and click on Insert.





Event Calendar macro



You can use the Event Calendar macro to display a monthly calendar with events.

Customize the macro by choosing which event categories should be displayed.


From these spaces only:

Leave empty to show all existing events. Input a space to show events only within this space.

Event categories:

Use categories as filters. Display only events of those categories (For example: Show only customer related events). Leave empty if you wish to display events of all categories.





Event List macro



You can use the Event List macro to display a compact list of events. It's a responsive macro, always adapting to available space.

Configure the macro to choose which events should be displayed. You can also limit the number of events that are being displayed at the same time.


Event space:

Leave empty to show all existing events. Input a space to show events only within this space.

Event categories:

Use categories as filters. Display only events of those categories (For example: Show only customer related events). Leave empty if you wish to display events of all categories.

Max. number of events to be shown:

You can limit the size of your event list. The default number of events being displayed is 15. Want a more compact list? Input the number of events that should be displayed.
