How to restore an older version of a menu

Access the version history

To access the version history of a menu, head over to the Menu Structure settings window.

Navigate to Confluence administration > Linchpin Navigation Menus > Menu Structure.

Alternatively, click on the settings icon in your Linchpin header, then click on Menu.

Once inside the Menu Structure tab, click on the "three dots"  button. This will open a context menu. From this menu, select the History button.

Restore an old version of a menu

Inside the versions history, click on the Apply button next to the version you want to restore. This action will restore this menu version to your edit view. You can edit the menu now or click Save changes to save a new draft of this menu.

If you are happy with your menu, click on the Publish menu button.

Info

Every time you save a menu, a backup is created. All backups can be accessed through the version history.

Every version of a menu has its own Apply button. Furthermore, you can see the version number, when a version was created and by whom. The green check icon (tick) means that a version was published. Versions without this icons are drafts.

Limitations

The history has a limited space of 100 entries. This regulation aims to reduce database usage.

Once 100 backups are reached, the system will try to cleanse itself. Published versions are prioritized to be kept as backups. If there are less than 100 published backups, then the latest drafts will be kept in the history as well.
