Linchpin Enterprise News: Need to control the order of news categories? Now, you can do exactly that! Create an Atom feed (RSS) for Linchpin news to make specific news available outside of Linchpin, making it easier than ever to make specific news available outside of Linchpin!
Linchpin Events: You can now create event labels to improve your organizational skills! These also work as search criteria in the Event macro, Event Calendar macro, and Event List macro. In addition, the customizable CSV export allows you to tailor the information you export from your event. Also, administrators can now delete events that are older than a configurable amount of time!
Linchpin Mobile: The Linchpin Mobile app now has a notification center that displays notifications from the Confluence notification center.
Linchpin User Profiles: Now you can define the profile field responsible for sorting the results of the People Search & List Macro. You can also choose how many people to display at once.

Linchpin Touch: Images and PDFs can now be viewed in a full screen mode. Tapping on it does not open another detailed dialog with only the image on it, but the image is displayed as large as possible on the entire screen.

Make sure to check out the full release notes!
First of all, the Suite itself: We've ensured the compatibility with Confluence 8.5 with this release.
Linchpin Events: We've added the brand new feature "waitlists for events". Are all seats fully booked? Join the waiting list and move up automatically! Event editors can now configure up to five messages to be sent to all attendees on specified dates. Moreover, the event hub now sports a brand new quickfilter for past events. You can now use images attached to Confluence pages or blog posts as event images.
Linchpin Enterprise News: You can now use images attached to other Confluence pages as news teaser image. As an user you can now read Mandatory News an hour or a day lat
Linchpin News Digest: It's now possible to send out more than one News Digest, addressed to different user groups.
There's a new macro in town: a combined search and list macro for users called People Search & List Macro. Functionality, look and feel are inspired by the people directory.
Of course, we've also worked on bringing you some quickwins, improvements and bugfixes with this update.
First of all, the Suite itself: We ensured the compatibility with Confluence 8.2 with this release. We've also changed the user interface to be gender neutral in the German version in all of our apps.
Linchpin Events: We've added the brand new feature "registration deadline for events". This ensures that people can only register for an event until the chosen deadline has expired. Moreover, the event organizer can now get notifications when people sign up and out of the created event. Furthermore, you now have the option to use custom CSS for color coding the event category to make your events look even prettier! Additionaly, the events in the event hub are now also visible in a calendar view.
Linchpin Theme: The footer is now fully customizable! You have the choice between a column of text and a column made out of a list of links. If you wish to hide the default columns, you can now simply do so. Additionally, you can now add as many columns as you want within your footer configuration and choose which five of those you want to be displayed in your footer. Unhappy with the order of the displayed columns? Simply change the order using drag and drop!
Furthermore, the Linchpin teaser macro can now use anchor links. Also, you can now define the width for the default, icon and image teaser.
Linchpin User Profiles: We've improved the display of the profile macro when the column, in which the macro is in, is not wide enough. Information won't be cut off anymore in this case.
Of course, while accessibility is a very important topic for both you and us, we've also worked on bringing you some quickwins, improvements and bugfixes with this update.
This release ensures compatibility of all included apps with Confluence 8. Compatibility with previous versions of Confluence is of course still a given.
Confluence 8 introduces a number of breaking changes. Those are ultimately a good thing, since they modernize some of the technical pillars Confluence rests on. At the same time, this meant a lot of work for everyone creating Confluence apps like the Linchpin apps to ensure compatibility with Confluence 8 and 7.x at the same time.
Please make sure that, before you upgrade to Confluence 8, all your apps are compatible with it. Since the changes are so fundamental, a non compatible app might very well break completely if you try to use it with Confluence 8. Also, please make sure to test everything thoroughly in a test environment, before deploying Confluence 8 to your prod system.
If you still run on Confluence 7.x, you should be able to install this version with no worries. However, we still recommend testing it in a test environment before deploying to your prod system.
The biggest star of this update is without a doubt: Timeslots for Events!
This new feature enables you to organize your event even better. Create timeslots to split events into multiple sub-events that can be booked by participants.
Moreover, we've added the ability to use several more field types as filters in the user directory.
You have the ability to set a default news teaser image per space. You don’t have to use one default image for all news anymore!
We’ve also added the option to add an image description for images in Microblog posts, which is especially useful for screen readers.
For the Linchpin Mobile App we’ve added the option to change the order and visibility of menu items to provide quick access to the most important features for your users.
Of course this release is bringing you a lot more improvements and bugfixes.
The biggest star of this update is without a doubt: Accessibility!
Navigate through Linchpin in read mode via keyboard now! Use the Tab key to navigate through the whole system. Skip links will help to get to the desired content faster. We also added focus frames to elements, so that it's easier to see which element is focused and where on the page you are. Use the Enter key to perform actions and the Escape key to close elements like pop-up windows. We improved screen reader compatibility of Linchpin, too! We still have some work to do here, but it's already way better than it was before this update.
Of course, while accessibility is a very important topic for both you and us, we also worked on bringing you some quickwins, improvements and bugfixes with this update.
