Repair language selection

Sometimes it can happen that users get offered a wrong language in their settings. This can be the case for the languages "German" and "English". Those languages can be especially error-prone.

You can repair the language selection in three steps.

 

Navigate to Confluence administration → Linchpin Translations → Maintenance & Support.

Follow these three steps.

 

Convert inappropriate languages

Click on the Start button in the Conversion of inappropriate languages section.

 

The inappropriate languages will be deleted from all projects and new languages will be created.

Installation of all projects

Click on the Start button in the Installation of all projects section.


This action will re-install all projects and apply all changes. Please note that any other changes made in the meantime will be applied, too!

Adjust the language selection for all users

Click on the Start button in the Adjusting the language selection of all users section.


This action will replace the languages "English" and "German" with English (US) and German (Germany) for all users.
