Updating the Jira major version with Agile Hive
Introduction
Agile Hive supports Jira 10 beginning from Version 4.0.0 upwards and Jira 11 beginning from Version 4.6.0 upwards.
We provide different versions for Jira 9, Jira 10 and Jira 11, which are suffixed with "-jira9", "-jira10" and "-jira11".
If you are updating your Jira from Version 9 to 10 or from Version 10 to 11, there might be different scenarios you are coming from, which we have described for you below.
Scenario 1 - Updating the Jira major version with the latest Agile Hive release
If you are updating your Jira from 9 to 10 or from 10 to 11 and you already had the newest Agile Hive Version installed (i.e. 4.x.y-jira9 or 4.x.x-jira10) , chances are that Agile Hive is stuck at the -jira9/-jira10 version when updating the app. In this case, a new install of Agile Hive is necessary.
Step 1
At first, please uninstall all Agile Hive Suite plugins from within the "Manage Apps" admin settings. Please uninstall the following plugins:
Agile Hive Suite
Agile Hive
AutoPage - Automated Page Creation
Custom Epic Panel
InstaPrinta - Print JIRA issues directly
Note: Uninstalling the plugins is not resulting in any dataloss.
Step 2
After uninstalling all Agile Hive Suite plugins, please reinstall the Agile Hive Suite from the marketplace within Jira again. This installs all plugins with their -jira10 releases.
Scenario 2 - Updating the Jira major version with an Agile Hive release other than the latest
If you are updating your Jira from 9 to 10 or 10 to 11 and you are on an Agile Hive release prior to the latest available version, an update within the "Manage Apps" admin settings should be sufficient to update Agile Hive to the latest version, compatible with Jira 10 or Jira 11.
