The client

The Entsorgungsbetriebe der Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden (ELW) is the municipal waste disposal company of the Hessian state capital of Wiesbaden. ELW is not only responsible for waste disposal and road cleaning, but also for the treatment of sewage. Over 700 employees in ELW are committed to environmental protection and cleanliness.

The assignment

Redesign the ELW website to be modern and fresh, with the aim to provide an overview of the company's comprehensive range of services, and provide the city's inhabitants with information and special offers.

The solution

A flash animation on the company's homepage communicates the organization's performance using lesser-known data, and offers the user interesting insights into topics such as waste and sewage disposal. This not only makes you want to help reduce waste, but ensures the company has a positive image.

By using target group-oriented navigation, a user can quickly find relevant information. Individualized services such as a waste calendar (including the ability to print the calendar), a reminder function for rubbish collection dates, a waste water calculator, and the ability to download the customer newsletter "Orange", round out the website and strengthen customer loyalty.
