Register with a QR code

You can register quickly and easily by scanning a QR code in the app.
Open your Confluence profile on your computer. If the Linchpin Mobile Confluence app is installed in your intranet, you will see a "Mobile access" tab. Select this tab then click on "Generate QR-Code".

The QR code is generated and you can log in to your app with this QR code.
You can register only once with each QR code. If you want to register again or a second device, you must generate a new QR code.

Open the mobile app and tap "Scan QR-Code". Scan the QR code on your screen with the mobile device's camera and you will then be logged directly into your Confluence system. Before you log in, you can give this instance a name.

If you have scanned the QR code once, your login is stored in the app and you will always be able to access the instance, even without generating a new QR code.

Register without a QR code

If you want to log in to Linchpin Mobile without a QR code, select "Add System" in the app. Specify the corresponding protocol on the screen that is displayed, either http:// or https://, and your server address.
Tap "Next" and enter your access data (username and password).

Give your instance a name so that you can easily find it in the list of instances.

Communication between Confluence and your mobile device is secured by end-to-end encryption only if you select the https:// protocol option.

News

In the News section, you can see news articles from your company.
By default, you can choose between Corporate and Personal News.
You can set and change this option from within your Confluence instance on your desktop.

Personalize the microblog

You can personalize your microblog from within the app.
Tap on the filter icon in the upper right corner. You can now select or deselect different channels. You will now only be shown the microposts published in the channels that you have selected.
You can also search for specific channels.

Create a new micropost

To create a micropost, tap on the blue plus icon at the bottom right.
A new window will open. Now you can select a channel in which the micropost should be published, where you can also search for specific channels again.
To mention people, tap the blue @ symbol above your keyboard and search for the person you want to find.
You can add an image using the image icon on the right above your keyboard. You will be asked whether you want to take a new photo or select one of your existing photos.

At the moment, only one image can attached to each micropost.

Once you have finished your micropost, tap "Create" in the upper right corner. Now the micropost is published in the microblog.

Like and comment on microposts

You can like microposts and comments by tapping on the thumbs up icon to the left of each post and write replies.

To reply to a post, tap the balloon icon. Write your comment, then tap the blue "Reply" button at the bottom of the screen. Replying is similar to creating a new post.

Search for contacts and add favorites

Next to the "Favorites" tab is the search function.
You can search for specific contacts and look at their profiles.

Once you have searched for and found a contact, you can add the as a favourite when in detail view. Tap on the star symbol in the top right-hand corner. If you want to remove a person from your favorites, just tap the star again.
Your favorite contacts can be reached easily from the overview; just tap on "Favorites" in the upper left corner.

If you add or remove a person from your favorites on your desktop, you will see these changes in the app.

Recently viewed pages and page search

Use the search field to search in Confluence for pages and blog posts.

The list below the search will display your most recently visited pages to make it quick and easy to revisit them.

Page tree

You can access the page tree or page hierarchy from the detail view of a Confluence page by tapping the table icon in the top right-hand corner.
The page tree is now displayed in a table view.

If a parent page exists for the currently viewed page, it is displayed as the first element in the table.
Pages that at the same level as the currently viewed page are then sorted alphabetically in ascending order.
The currently viewed page is integrated and highlighted in this page tree.
If one or more subordinate pages exist for the currently viewed page, they are displayed indented directly below the currently viewed page in the table.

When you tap on one of the listed pages, it opens.

Space directory

Under the "Pages" tab you can see all the spaces that are within your Confluence instance. Your favorite spaces are listed at the top, below all other spaces. You can also search for spacs using the search function.

If you select a space, you will go to the space homepage where you can either mark the space as a favorite or remove it from your favorites if it is already marked.

Select a Confluence system

Under the "More" tab, you will find a blue button "System selection". Tap this to return to the login screen.

Here you will see all the Confluence systems registered via the app, and you can either add a new system (with or without a QR code), switch to another system, or delete systems.
To add a new instance, simply tap "Add System". To delete a system, tap the delete icon next to the respective system.
The deleted systems can be re-added at any time.
