Summary & Highlights
It's true - Linchpin Intranet Suite 2.0 has finally arrived!
We worked hard on this feature release to improve the user experience and optimize our plugins. Bugfixes, new features and a lot of improvements await you with Linchpin Intranet Suite 2.0!
We prepared a short summary of the most important changes, so you can keep track of them. If you want more info about a specific function, use the navigation to jump to this function's release notes.
First of all, the Linchpin Intranet Suite is now fully compatible with Confluence 7. Now you don't have to fear for your Linchpin Intranet Suite anymore when you update to the newest version of Confluence.
Secondly, the Microblog received a brand new editor! For security reasons, we decided to not longer use a Confluence-based editor. So we created our own! And it's working great. The new editor greatly improves the user experience. No more jumping to the top of a page when you reply to a Micropost. Stay wherever you were when you typed in your reply. The new editor is also more intuitive. Only the functions you really need to create a Micropost are being shown. This improves the ease with which you can communicate via the Microblog and also greatly reduces the loading time of the Microblog! The new upload window allows you to quickly upload and delete attachments and images while still in workflow. Also, deleting an image will also remove it from the space/topic. No more left over images!
Furthermore, we improved the heart of the Linchpin Intranet Suite: the personalization. We are proud of how much Linchpin can be personalized. Because of this, we decided to put even more work into it. Not only did we improve the design of news tiles (they are being displayed in a new and modern full-image design), we also created News Magazines! News Magazines allows you to create personalized and flexible magazines from thematically related news from all over your Confluence.
And with Linchpin Personalized Content comes a brand new app to improve personalization even more! This new addition allows you to completely personalize pages and dashboards for your users. Create content groups which will be shown different content and add content to pages and dashboards based on user profiles!
And last but not least, Linchpin Mobile received a big update. Linchpin Mobile now offers a lot more possibilities for branding! You are no longer limited to a single "About us" page. With Linchpin Mobile 3.0 you can now create as many public branded pages as you wish! The public stream contains all of the pages you wish to display to all users - even users not logged into your Confluence. It's a great way to present your company, present your products or list some job offerings and reviews. An ideal solution to create more interest in your company.
