Feature Release
New features & improvements
- Admins can now delete events that are older than a configurable amount of time. This helps to improve overall performance of all Linchpin Events macros and the Event Hub.
- Event creators and editors can now add labels to their events, in addition to the already existing event categories. Labels can be created freely by anyone who creates or edits events.
- In the macro Event you can now search events by label.
- Events in the macro Event Calendar can now be filtered by labels.
- Events in the Event Hub can now be filtered by labels.
- Events in the macro Event List can now be filtered by labels.
- Exported attendee lists now include their profile field values (needs Linchpin User Profiles 3.10 and up)
Bugfixes
- We fixed a bug which on occasion led to already sent Event messages being sent again due to overlapping automated jobs.
- We fixed an unexpected behaviour that imported the whole series of recurring events into a calendar via ICS file instead of just the one selected event.
- In some cases the frequency for recurring events wasn't saved correctly. This has been fixed.
- Recurring events created from within the event macro were buggy and couldn't be edited. This has been fixed.
- Some mail notifications about changes concerning event participation didn't translate correctly into users' calendars. This has been fixed.

- We fixed a bug that sometimes prevented editing a whole series of events.

- Some mail notifications about changes concerning event participation didn't translate correctly into users' calendars. This has been fixed.

- You all waited for this: Events can now be recurring! Configure a whole series of events at once, no more copy & paste.
- We implemented caching to improve the events loading performance. It may be a good idea to increase the available memory on your instance. Stay tuned for further performance improvements.

- Deactivated or deleted users couldn't be removed as attendees from events. This is now possible.
- Some events were missing from the event calendar view. Not anymore.

Feature Release
New features
For events you can now define a registration deadline.
All events now bring css classes for every event category they belong to. Using Custom CSS, you can style the events specific to categories, e.g. color code them to your liking.
Event organizers now have the option to receive a notification about sign ups and sign outs of participants regarding their events.
The event hub now offers a calendar view option.
When exporting the participant list of timeslot events, the chosen timeslot for each participant is part of the export.
We improved the usability when managing participants.

Version 3.4 of Linchpin Events introduces basic support for remote and hybrid events by allowing additional video conference information to be stored for each event. In case you also use our Microblogging for Confluence app your users can now share events to any Microblog topic, making it even easier to promote events as well as to sign up.

- Remote & hybrid events: Remote and hybrid events now use an indicator to show what type of event it is. Additionally, there's a new event field that can be used to provide a videoconference URL to all event participants.
- Share events to Microblog: Users can now share events directly to the microblog by creating a new post from the event portal or an event macro. The microblog post displays all important event information and offers a way to register quickly and easily with one click.
Please note: This feature requires the Confluence app 'Microblogging for Confluence' version 6.0.0 or later.
