Step 1: Install Linchpin Events 2.0 preview version manually in your Confluence

Option A: Easy Events RSVP not yet installed

If you did not yet have Easy Events RSVP app installed in your Confluence you can simply upload the .obr file received by //SEIBERT/MEDIA and run the installation by following the steps listed below:

  1. Log into your Confluence instance as an admin.
  2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Manage apps.
  3. Click the button labelled Upload app in the top right corner of Universal Plugin Manager (right next to Build a new app).
  4. Select the Linchpin Events 2.0 preview version .obr file that you received by //SEIBERT/MEDIA from your local filesystem and upload it to Confluence.
  5. Wait for the installation to finish - you're now set to go!

Option B: Easy Events RSVP already installed

If you are already using the Easy Events RSVP app with your Confluence we recommend to manually uninstall the old version before uploading the .obr file received by //SEIBERT/MEDIA. Simply follow the steps described below:

  1. Log into your Confluence instance as an admin.
  2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Manage apps.
  3. Look up Easy Events RSVP app in the list of User-installed apps and click it.
  4. Click Uninstall and wait for Confluence to finish the operation.
  5. Now click the button labelled Upload app in the top right corner of Universal Plugin Manager (right next to Build a new app).
  6. Select the Linchpin Events 2.0 preview version .obr file that you received by //SEIBERT/MEDIA from your local filesystem and upload it to Confluence.
  7. Wait for the installation to finish - you're now set to go!

Please note: Since this is an unsupported preview version of Linchpin Events there is no need to generate or enter a license key.


Step 2: Clear browser cache at start of evaluation

To start evaluating Linchpin Events 2.0 preview version please navigate to <YOUR_CONFLUENCE'S_BASE_URL>/plugins/easyevents/event-hub.action (e.g., https://demonstration.linchpin-intranet.com/plugins/easyevents/event-hub.action).

After loading is finished please force reload the page by pressing ctrl + F5 (Windows) or Command + Shift + R (macOS).


Step 3: You're ready to evaluate Linchpin Events 2.0 Preview Version!
